Our story
It was founded 150 years ago by poojya Sri Sri Nanjunda Shivayogi, the great visionary saint and social reformer. The shivayogi conducted Spiritual Anustana in this divine center. He was an ardent follower of Basavaadi pramathas (Shiva sharanas of the 12th century ).
He relentlessently fought against injustice, inequality and superstitious believes. He devoted his whole life for the cause of the poor and neglected communities. He finally became part and parcel of this divine earth by putting an end to his successful life of nine decades in1973 after he had selected his successor poojya Sri Sri Nataraja Swamiji.

Sri Sri Nataraja Swamiji
Sri Sri Nataraja Swamiji, the believer, and follower of Lord Basava, succeeded Sri Nanjunda Shivayogi and His motives. He assumed the position of this mutt at the very young age of 12. Then he persuaded his elementary schooling and higher education in Sanskrit in Degul mutt and Sri siddaganga mutt under the sacred and divine graces of Dr. Shivakumara Swamiji of Siddganga mutt and Sri Mahalinga Swamiji of Degul mutt, Kanakapura.
He has spent 4 decades with the help of jolige ( spiritual bag given by guru ) and built the spiritual and academical atmosphere in 4-acre campus of the mutt. Big and beautiful buildings of Residential school and public school are constructed to fulfill the need of the basic in-fraw-structure. The selfless service of mutt has converted it to be a multidimensional learning center. Trividha dasoha Anna dasoha, Jnana dasoha, Vidya dasoha, has attracted 100’s of devotees to the mutt every day. Now it has become an innovative hub of various creative academic activities. It is proud to say that the mutt has assumed the shape of mini Karnataka by providing boarding facilities to the poorest of poor without discrimination of caste, creed, region, religion, and gender. Nearly 700 students of various districts of Karnataka are accommodated every year since 1993.

Founded by Sri Sri Nanjunda Shivayogi

Sri Sri Nataraja Swamiji succeeds
After nine decades of service, Sri Nanjunda Shivayogi attained the divine in 1973, having chosen Sri Sri Nataraja Swamiji as his successor. Swamiji assumed the position at the age of 12.
Free boarding for students
Since 1993 the Mutt has accommodated nearly 700 students from various districts of Karnataka every year, without discrimination of caste, creed, region, religion or gender.
SNS ITI opens
Sri Nanjunda Shivayogishwara Industrial Training Institute opens with Electronic Mechanic and Fitter trades.
A multidimensional learning centre
Trividha dasoha (Anna dasoha, Jnana dasoha and Vidya dasoha) on a 4-acre campus with residential and public schools.
Our Institutions
The Mutt runs several Institutions including Kannada and English medium schools and ITI Institution. The Mutt also runs a Hostel with free Accommodation, Food and other benefits to the students.
